Antenna System

The antenna system for the radio and radio/navigation system without the diversity function consists of an antenna in the rear window with an antenna module.

Golf Sedan: for optimum "DAB (digital audio broadcasting)" reception, the antenna is in the rear window with a special antenna module

Golf Plus: for optimum "DAB (digital audio broadcasting)", the roof antenna has a special antenna module.

There is also special roof antenna if the vehicle has navigation, a telephone or remote control for the auxiliary heater.

The antenna system with diversity function serves to improve and optimize the reception quality in the vehicle.

The diversity functions are directly inside the radio and/or radio/navigation system. The vehicle does have an additional antenna selection control module.

Before troubleshooting or servicing, the technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the radio system.
