Removing


The bracket for attaching the engine cover to the cylinder head could break if removed incorrectly. Always follow these steps to remove the engine cover.

- Pull the engine cover off of its mounts in these areas - arrows - and in the sequence shown. Reach as far as possible under the engine cover.






Installing


Check the position of the 4 mounting elements (ball sockets) before assembling the engine cover. Bring them back into their correct position if necessary. Otherwise the engine cover will be damaged.

- Press the ball sockets on the engine cover into the correct position, if necessary.






- Position the engine cover on the ball studs and press down on the cover corners and onto the ball studs.
