Body/Frame - Noises From The B-Pillar Area

Front Doors, Noise in B Pillar/ Lock Area

Technical Background

Movement of the front door generates noise between front door lock and locking bar.

Tip: Rear doors are not affected.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service





Verify noise is caused by the door lock/ locking bar. If this is the case, moisten the locking bar with water. If this resolves the condition, clean the locking bar/catch area and lubricate the catch with P/N: G 000150 (see orange mark in illustration 1).

Tip: Always lubricate both locking bar/catch areas of front doors.
