Arm/Disarm Switch: Service and Repair
Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch (E267) and Vehicle Inclination Sensor Deactivation Button (E360)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)
• The interior monitoring deactivation switch and the vehicle inclination sensor deactivate button are a single component.
• To remove the interior monitoring deactivation switch and vehicle inclination sensor deactivate button, anti-theft warning system must be deactivated. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating ] Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating.
• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.
• Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch and vehicle inclination sensor deactivate button are located in B-pillar trim on drivers side.
Removal
- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
- Carefully pry out interior monitoring deactivation switch and the vehicle inclination sensor deactivate button - 1 - using a (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.
- Release and disconnect the connector - arrow -.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
