Wind Deflector

Removing

- Open the sunroof completely.

- Remove the unit. Refer to => [ Assembly Unit ] Assembly Unit.

- Unclip the wind deflector - 1 - from the unit - 2 - - arrows -.







The wind deflector and jointing piece are pretensioned by a spring in the wind deflector. The pretension must not be reduced when the screw is loosened otherwise the thread in the unit will get damaged.

- Push the joining piece - 3 - onto the unit - 2 - maintaining the pretension while removing the bolts.

- Remove the left bolts - 4 - first and then the right. Always push on the joining piece - 3 - while doing this to maintain the pretension.

- Remove the joining pieces - 3 - with the springs and wind deflector - 1 -.

Installing

- Position the wind deflector - 1 - with the springs and joining pieces - 3 - on the unit - 2 -.

- Push the joining piece - 3 - onto the unit - 2 - maintaining the pretension while installing the bolts.

- Install the left bolts - 4 - first and then the right. Always push on the joining piece - 3 - while doing this to maintain the pretension.

Bolt - 4 - tightening specification: 1.5 Nm

- Clip the wind deflector - 1 - into the assembly unit - 2 - - arrows -.

- Install the assembly unit. Refer to => [ Assembly Unit ] Assembly Unit.
