Horn: Service and Repair

Signal Horn/Dual Tone Horn (H1)


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

The Signal Horn and Dual Tone Horn is activated by the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).

The signal horn and dual tone horn is installed on the right side next to the longitudinal member.

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Disconnect the connector - arrow -.






- Remove the screw - arrow - and remove the signal horn and dual tone horn.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

• Make sure the horn and dual tone horn is not touching any other components when around it when installing.

Tightening specification bolt to longitudinal member: 20 Nm
