Rear Door: Adjustments
Door, Adjusting Gap Dimension and Flush Dimension
• The vehicle must standing on all four wheels when adjusting the rear door.
• The rear door is adjusted properly when it has an even gap dimension overall when closed, it does not rest too far in or out and the contours align.
• For checking the gap dimensions:
• Apply corrosion protection to the hinges and bolts after assembling or adjusting.
Adjusting Gap Dimensions
For correct gap dimension adjustment, the fasteners - 2 - and - 5 - on the B-pillar must be loosened.
- For the fasteners - 2 -, the B-pillar lower trim must be removed.
Flush Adjustment
The bolts - 3 - must be loosened in order to adjust the flush dimensions correctly.
For this, the door adjusting wrench (3320) with the bit insert must be used.
• Other measures, such as aligning the door upward, are not effective. Excess pressure thereafter will again cause the door to sag.
