Rear Lid Hinge

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the rear lid - 1 -. Refer to => [ Rear Lid ] Rear Lid.

If removing the left hinge - 6 -:

- Remove the electric wire - 5 - from the left hinge - 6 -.

If removing the right hinge - 2 -:

- Remove the gas-filled strut - 4 - from the ball stud on the right hinge - 2 -. Refer to => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

Procedure for both hinges:

- Disengage the spring - 3 - - arrow - and remove it from the hinge.

- Remove the rear shelf.

- Remove the bolts - 7 - and the left hinge - 2 - and the right hinge - 6 -.

Installing






Perform the following:

Install in reverse order of removal.

Bolt - 4 - tightening specification: 9 Nm

- Adjust the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid, Adjusting ] Rear Lid, Adjusting.

• Perform a function test on the unlocking components before closing the rear lid.
