Hood: Adjustments







Hood, Adjusting

The vehicle must be on the ground when adjusting the hood.

The left and right buffers - 2 - are not for adjusting. They stabilize the hood.

The hood is properly adjusted when there is an overall even gap dimension when closed, it is not too far inward or outward and contours align.

The hood must latch without much force into the hood latch.

Do not remove the nuts - 4 -. Only loosen them.






- Remove the hood catch - 1 -. Refer to => [ Hood Catch ] Hood Catch.

- Loosen, but do not remove, the left and right nuts - 4 - on the hood hinge - 5 - and then align the hood between the fenders.

- Make sure the gap dimensions are even.

- Apply corrosion protection to the hinges - 5 - and the nuts - 4 -.

- Turn the adjusting buffer - 2 - - arrow - to adjust.

- Install and adjust the hood catch - 1 - after adjusting the hood. Refer to => [ Hood Catch, Adjusting ] Hood Catch, Adjusting.

- The height of the front of the hood can be adjusted in relation to the fenders using the adjusting buffers - 3 -. Refer to => [ Hood Latch, Adjusting ] Hood Latch, Adjusting.
