Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 4 G648

The exhaust gas temperature sensor threads are coated. Do NOT lubricate with hot bolt paste and make sure to tighten it to specification, refer to=> [ Exhaust Temperature Control Overview ] Description and Operation. Otherwise the fitting could come loose and accidents could occur as a result.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Tool Set 17 mm (T10395)

• Ring Spanner 7-piece Set (3337)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Release and disconnect the connector for the exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 in the - direction of the arrow -.






- Free up the wire.

- Remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 - arrow -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

• When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

- Electrical connectors and wiring routing.
