Fuel Injector Correction Value, Adapting
The "injector correction value" corrects the fuel injection quantity for each cylinder individually in the common rail system over the entire characteristic map.
The 7 digit correction values - 1 - are stamped on each injector. The specification in the illustration is just an example. The stamped values can be letters and/or numbers.

After replacing an injector, the correction value must be programmed into the Engine Control Module (ECM).
After replacing the ECM, the correction value for the fuel injectors must be transferred into the ECM.
The adaptation procedure is described in Guide Fault Finding.
Also check the other fuel injectors regarding "injector quantity calibration" if all the values were entered correctly. If the correct comparison value have been stored in the ECM, then these comparison value must never be reentered.
