Instrument Panel, Aligning in Vehicle
• Instrument panel can be aligned in height and diagonally to direction of travel.
Perform the following:
- Remove the wiper arms.
- Remove the plenum chamber cover.
- Remove the instrument panel side covers - 1 - and - 2 -. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] Instrument Panel Side Cover.
- Remove the center console trim - 3 - and - 4 -. Refer to => [ Center Console ] Center Console.
- Just loosen the bolts - 1 - and - 2 - (2-3 turns) (20 Nm).
- Loosen the bolt - 1 - and - 2 - (2-3 turns) (20 Nm).
- Loosen the bolts - 1 - and - 2 - (2-3 turns) (20 Nm).
Aligning Height
• Instrument panel height is set using eccentric screws - 1 - and - 2 -.
• In the zero position, the longer eccentric surface faces toward outside of vehicle.
• Eccentric must not be turned more than ±90° out of zero position.
- Adjust the height of the instrument panel using the adjusting screws - 1 - and - 2 - on both sides.
• Raise the instrument panel on the left side in - direction of arrow A -.
• Raise the instrument panel on the right side in - direction of arrow B -.
• Lower the instrument panel on the left side in - direction of arrow D -.
• Lower the instrument panel on the left side in - direction of arrow C -.
Aligning Width
- Adjust the instrument panel vertically.
• The instrument panel may only touch the flat surfaces marked in the - screen - when adjusting the instrument panel laterally.
- After aligning the instrument panel inside the vehicle, tighten it to the tightening specification.
Installation of removed components is reverse of removal.
