Roof Antenna

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the trim from the left and right B-pillars.

- Remove the trim from the left and right C-pillars.

- Remove all grab handles under the roof.

- Lower the headliner slightly.

- Disconnect the antenna wire connectors - 2 - through - 4 -.






- Remove the nut - 1 - from the roof antenna.

- Remove the roof antenna from the roof - 5 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Pay close attention when routing the antenna wires - 2 - through the opening - arrow - in the nut - 1 -.






- Tighten the threaded connection to the tightening specification (7 Nm +1 Nm).

• A new repair concept has been developed for repairing antenna wires. Instead of a complete antenna wire, connecting wires of different lengths and various adapter leads are now available as replacement parts.
