Front Door Handle: Service and Repair

Door Handle

• The following describes removing and installing the right door handle. Removing and installing the left door handle is identical.

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the lock cylinder => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder or the housing. Refer to => [ Cap without Lock Cylinder ] Cap without Lock Cylinder.

- Pull the door handle - 1 - slightly to the rear - arrow a - and out of the mount.

- Move the door handle in the - direction of arrow b -.

- Remove the door handle at a right angle - arrow c -.

- Disconnect the connector (if equipped) from he door handle - 1 -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- If equipped, connect the connector to the door handle - 1 -.

- Install the door handle - 1 - at a right angle - arrow a -.

- Install the door handle - 1 - into the door - arrow b -.

- Push the door handle toward front - arrow c - into the mount inside the bracket.

- Install the lock cylinder => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder or the housing. Refer to => [ Cap without Lock Cylinder ] Cap without Lock Cylinder.

• Always perform a functionality test with the door open.
