Rear Lid Trim Panel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Wedges (T10383)

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

- Remove the screws - 2 - from grip recesses.

- Loosen the clips - 4 - on the trim - 3 - all the way around from the mounts in the rear lid - 1 - using wedges (T10383).

- Remove the trim panel - 3 - from the rear lid in - direction of arrow - - 1 -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary.

- Insert the centering tab - 2 - on the trim - 3 - into the rear lid - 1 -.

- Insert the trim - 3 - into the guide - 5 -.

- Lock all the clips on the trim - 3 - all the way around.

- Tighten the screws - 4 - (1.5 Nm).
