Vehicle Key Battery

Removing

- Insert a screwdriver into the slot between the radio-frequency unit - 1 - and the key - 2 -.






- Turn the screwdriver in - direction of arrow - and detach the radio frequency unit from the key.

- Press apart radio-frequency unit - 1 - using key bit of key - 2 -.






- Use a screwdriver to pry the battery - 1 - out of the retainer - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.






Installation

Before installing the battery, one of the buttons must be pushed.

The container now recognizes the new battery.

Adapt the remote control key after installing the battery.

Perform the following:

Note polarity and installation position of battery when installing.






- Place battery - 1 - in radio-frequency unit - 2 - with positive terminal downward (positive terminal is marked in housing).

- Press the battery - arrow - gently into the radio-frequency unit.

- Assemble the cover and the radio-frequency unit being careful not to damage the seal.

- Then engage radio-frequency unit on key.

Adaptation of keys with radio-frequency remote control:

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System to adapt remote control keys.

- Select "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.

- Select "Functions/Component Selection" using the GO TO button.
