Driver and Front Passenger Interior Locking Button (E308)/(E309)

Interior Locking Button

• Driver Interior Locking Button (E308)

• Front Passenger Interior Locking Button (E309)

• Driver side rear interior locking button (E717)

• Front passenger side rear interior locking button (E718)

• Removal and installation is the same for all buttons and is described here for only one button.

• The push button illumination bulb (L76) is integrated in the driver interior locking button (E308) / front passenger interior locking button (E309). It cannot be replaced alone.

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool ( trim removal wedge (3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Remove the door trim panel.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 -.






- Open the tabs - arrows - and remove the driver interior locking button (E308) - 1 - from the door trim panel.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
