Engine, Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Note the following whenever working inside the engine compartment due to limited space:
• Route all lines and wires in their original locations.
• Ensure sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
- Make sure there is enough clearance for the subframe and radiator when installing the engine/transmission subassembly.
- Align the engine mount as follows:
• There must be at least 10 mm - a - between the engine mount bracket - 2 - and the right longitudinal member.
• The casting edge on the engine mount bracket - 2 - must be stand parallel to the engine mount - 1 -.
- Tighten the bolts for the engine mount. Tightening specifications 60 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Install the pendulum support.
• For the engine mount, pendulum support and transmission mount bolt tightening specifications, refer to => [ Engine/Transmission Mounts Overview ] Engine/Transmission Mounts Overview.
- Install the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converters to the exhaust manifolds. Refer to => [ Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter ] Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter.
- Install the drive axles.
- Install the right drive axle heat shield and bolts.
- Install the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.
- Install the fan shroud. Refer to => [ Fan Shroud ] Service and Repair.
- Connect the fuel supply line - 1 - and vent line - 2 -.
- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.
- Reset the lock carrier service position. Procedures
- Install the noise insulation.
- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.
- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Check all Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memories and erase any faults.
- Perform a road test.
- Perform another vehicle system test and correct any faults.
• Generate a readiness code if the DTC memory was erased. Refer to "Guided Function" in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
