1 Cap

• Replace the seal if damaged.

2 Bolt

• For the fuel filler door unit with fuel filler door lock.

3 Fuel Filler Door Unit with Fuel Filler Door Lock

• With a rubber cup.

4 Ventilation Line

• To the leak detection pump.

5 Bolt

• 11 Nm

6 Heat Shield

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Tank ] Fuel Tank.

7 Nut

• 2.5 Nm

8 Bolt

• 25 Nm

• Always replace.

9 Left Tensioning Strap

• Pay attention to the installed position.

10 Bolt

• 25 Nm

• Always replace.

• For the tensioning strap and exhaust system suspended mount.

11 Right Tensioning Strap

• Pay attention to the installed position.

12 Seal

• Always replace.

• Install the seal into the fuel tank opening dry.

• Coat the inside of the seal with fuel before installing the fuel delivery unit.

13 Fuel Delivery Unit

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor ] Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor.

• Checking the fuel pump. Refer to => [ Fuel Pump, Checking ] Fuel Pump, Checking.

• Note the installed position in the fuel tank. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit Installed Position ].

• With the fuel level sensor.

• Fuel level sensor removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Level Sensor G ] Fuel Level Sensor G.

14 Lock Ring

• 110 Nm

• Make sure it is secure.

• Use the wrench (T10202) for removal and installation.

Fuel Delivery Unit Installed Position





The tab - 2 - on the fuel delivery unit must lie between the tabs - 1 and 3 -.

• The - arrow - points in the direction of travel.

• The fuel delivery unit can only be installed in this position.
