Proper WIN Module identification after Remote Start installation, or 28G1 campaign Win module update.

Note:
This technical bulletin has strict requirements which must be met before continuing. Check the door manufacturing date. The vehicle must be manufactured before April 2011, or this bulletin does not apply.

Technical Background

The WIN module may have been replaced previously to upgrade vehicle with remote start options, or replaced due to 28G1 campaign for MY2010.

If the WIN module has been previously replaced, ETKA may not list the latest module needed to replace the current WIN module in the vehicle.

^ Before ordering or replacing the vehicle WIN module the following should be verified:

Does the vehicle currently have a remote start system?

Was the vehicle involved in campaign 28G1, and has the WIN module update been performed?





Use the WIN module chart to properly identify the Volkswagen part number needed.

Using the StarMOBILE scan tool, identify the WIN module Chrysler part number.

Match the Chrysler part number to Volkswagen part number.
