Alarm Horn (H12)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

The alarm horn is located on the right side under the plenum chamber cover.

• If the horn is removed, then the anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating ] Activating and Deactivating.

Removing

- Remove the plenum chamber cover.

- Release and disconnect the connector - 1 - Unscrew the nut - 3 - and remove the alarm horn - 2 - from the bracket.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the nut - 3 - to (20 Nm).
