Locating pins (T10096)

Installing Locating Pins (T10096)

To secure the subframe, the locating pins (T10096) must be installed in positions - 1 -, - 2 -, - 3 - and - 4 -, one after the other.






Locating pins (T10096) may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the threads of the locating bolts will be damaged.

Securing Mounting Bracket





- Replace the bolts of the mounting bracket one after the other on both sides using locating fixtures (T10096) and tighten them to 20 Nm.

Subframe, Securing





- Replace the front bolts of the subframe one after the other using locating fixtures (T10096) and tighten to 20 Nm.

Position of front axle is now secured.

Continue with removing stabilizer => [ Remove the stabilizer from subframe and ] Front Suspension.

Continue with removing steering gear => [ under subframe. ] Steering Gear.

Continue removing the subframe without the steering gear=> [ steering gear bolts and. ] Subframe without Steering Gear.

Continue removing the subframe with the steering gear=> [ Engine/Transmission Jack under the subframe. ] Subframe with Steering Gear.

Removing Locating Pins (T10096)

Removal is performed in the reverse order of installation. Make sure that the locating fixtures (T10096) are replaced one after the other with new bolts.
