Two-Way Manual Lumbar Support, Front Seats with Manual Height Adjustment

Removing

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat

- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the front seat belt latch. Refer to => [ Front Seat Belt Latches ] Front Seat Belt Latches

- Remove the trim on the tunnel side. Refer to => [ Door Sill Side Trim, Front Seats with Manual Height Adjustment ] Door Sill Side Trim, Front Seats with Manual Height Adjustment

- Remove the backrest adjustment wheel. Refer to => [ Backrest Adjusting Wheel ] Backrest Adjusting Wheel

- Remove the trim on the door sill side. Refer to => [ Door Sill Side Trim, Front Seats with Manual Height Adjustment ] Door Sill Side Trim, Front Seats with Manual Height Adjustment

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest

- Attach the backrest to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the lumbar support lever. Refer to => [ Lumbar Adjustment Lever ] Lumbar Adjustment Lever

- Remove the backrest folding table. Refer to => [ Backrest Folding Table ] Backrest Folding Table

- Remove cover and upholstery from front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Front Seat Backrest Cover and Cushion ] Front Seat Backrest Cover and Cushion

- Remove the two bolts - 1 - from the actuator (1.5 +/- 1 Nm).

- Remove the side retainers - 2 - and - 3 - from the backrest frame.

- Remove the side springs.

- Remove the lumbar support - 4 - from the upper mounts - arrows - in the backrest frame.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
