HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/(J344)

The left HID headlamp control module (J343) or right HID headlamp control module (J344) is attached to the bottom of each headlamp housing.

• The illustrations show removing and installing the right HID headlamp control module.

• Removing and installing the left HID headlamp control module is identical.

Removing

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps With Cornering Lamp ] HID Headlamps With Cornering Lamp.

- Remove the 3 bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the HID headlamp control module - 1 - straight upward from the headlamp housing while paying attention to the connected wires.

- Release and disconnect the harness connectors - arrows - and remove the HID headlamp control module - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Make sure the seal fits correctly when installing the HID headlamp control module. It is destroyed by ingress of water into headlamp.

- Tighten the 3 mounting bolts to the tightening specification given in the overview. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp and Cornering Lamp Overview ] HID Headlamp and Cornering Lamp Overview.

- Check headlamp for functions.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct it if necessary.
