Ignition Switch Key Lock Solenoid (N376)

The ignition switch key lock solenoid must be mounted next to the ignition switch.

To remove the ignition key in vehicles with a DSG transmission, move the selector lever into the "P" position and then switch off the ignition. Otherwise, ignition switch key lock solenoid prevents the key from being removed!

Removing

- Remove the trim from the steering column.

- Release the latching mechanism - 2 - with a suitable screwdriver.






- Pull the ignition switch key lock solenoid - 1 - out of the mount in direction of arrow.

- During this, harness connector is simultaneously disconnected.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

After connecting the battery, perform an output diagnostic test to activate the ignition switch key lock solenoid.
