Driver Side Rear Side Airbag Crash Sensor G256
Removing
• The driver side rear side airbag crash sensor (G256) is installed on the driver side in front of the rear wheel housing.
Observe safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System Safety Precautions ] Airbag System Safety Precautions.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Move the left rear bench seat as far forward as possible.
- Remove the rear wheel housing trim:
• without rear side airbags: => [ Rear Wheel Housing Trim without Rear Side Airbag ] Rear Wheel Housing Trim without Rear Side Airbag
• With rear side airbag:=> [ Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag ] Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag
- Press the connector lock and remove the connector - 1 - from the crash sensor - 3 -.
- Remove bolt - 2 - (6 Nm).
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
- Switch on ignition.
Make sure no one is in the vehicle.
- Connect the battery.
