Front Door Lamps and Switches

Switch Element, Driver Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Remove the door trim panel.

- Release the tabs - arrows - and remove the central locking -SAFE- indicator lamp - 1 -.






- Release the tabs - arrows - and remove the switch cluster on the driver side from the door trim panel. Start on the right side.






- Lift the switch cluster on the driver side slightly upward - arrow A - and then remove it from the door trim panel in - direction of B -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
