Bolts and Nuts






• Tighten and loosen the bolts or nuts for the covers and housings in a diagonal sequence.

• The tightening specification stated applies to non-lubricated nuts and bolts.

• Use a wire brush to clean the threads of bolts that were installed using liquid locking fluid. Install the bolts using liquid locking fluid (AMV 185 100 A1).

• Clean all threaded holes with a thread tap to remove any locking fluid residue. Otherwise the bolts could shear the next time they are removed.

• Always replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
