Exterior Rearview Mirror Adjuster

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

The exterior rearview mirror adjuster is installed in the driver door trim panel and consists of the following components (depending on the vehicle equipment level):

• Mirror Adjustment Switch (E43)

• Mirror Selector Switch (E48)

• Outside Mirror Heating Switch (E231)

• Mirror Folding Switch (E263)

• Mirror Adjustment Switch Illumination (L78)

Removal

When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the driver door trim panel..

- Open the retainers - arrows - with a screwdriver and remove the exterior rearview mirror adjustment module - 1 - toward the rear out of the driver door trim panel.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
