Prior to repair work, perform a preliminary check to verify the condition. Refer to => [ Preliminary Check ] Preliminary Check.

Use only gold-plated terminals when servicing any component with gold-plated electrical harness connector terminals.

For wiring diagrams, component locations, and connector views, Refer to the applicable wiring diagram.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Multimeter.

Wiring diagram.

Test requirements

The ignition switched Off.

Start diagnosis

The AdBlue(R) can irritate skin, eyes and the respiratory system. If the fluid comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water. Consult a physician if necessary.

The Reduction Agent Heated Supply Hose refers to the wire heated supply hose that connects from the tank pump to the Reduction Agent injector. This component is available separately from the Reduction Agent Tank Module assembly.

- Remove the Reducing Agent Tank Module assembly. The assembly is located above the rear muffler mounted below the spare tire well. Refer to the Repair Information for removal instructions.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the Reducing Agent Heated Supply Line (2 wire connector near the end of the hose connection at the pump end).

Checking resistance

- Measure the resistance of the Reducing Agent Wire Heater (Z104) terminals.

Specified value: 2.4 Ohms (+/- 1 Ohm)

If the specified value was Not obtained replace the Reducing Agent Wire Heater (Z104).

If the specified value was obtained:

Replace the Reducing Agent Heater Control Module (J891).
