AdBlue(R) Delivery Module

AdBlue(R) Delivery Module

The Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) reducing agent AUS 32 is simply called "AdBlue(R)" in the following information.

AdBlue(R) can irritate skin, eyes and the respiratory system.

If the fluid comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water.

Consult a physician if necessary.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Torque Wrench (40-200 Nm) (V.A.G 1332)

Engine-/Gearbox Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

Special Wrench (T50014)

Removing

- Remove the AdBlue(R) tank. Refer to => [ AdBlue(R) Tank ] AdBlue(R) Tank.

Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag or cable ties, before they become coated with AdBlue(R). The electrical connectors can be damaged because the AdBlue(R) has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes as it dries.

- Disconnect the ventilation line - arrow -.

- Remove the bolts - A - and remove the reducing agent (AdBlue(R)) pump upward.

- Cut off the cable ties - arrows -.

- Carefully reach into the delivery module chamber and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it from its retainer.

- Remove the delivery module upward from the AdBlue(R) tank.

Installing

- Set the lock ring in place and tighten it hand tight.

Make sure the lock ring is not installed crooked on the AdBlue(R) tank threads. Otherwise it will leak and result in serious corrosion damage.

- Place the special wrench (T50014) on the lock ring as illustrated and tighten it. Tightening specification, see - item 7 - in the => [ AdBlue(R) Delivery Module Overview ] AdBlue(R) Delivery Module Overview.

- Wash any leaking AdBlue(R) off with water.

Further installation is in the reverse order of removal.
