Striker Pin, Adjusting






The threaded plate - 1 - of the striker pin in the column is secured differently than previously.

The arch outside the threaded plate is welded to the column. The bars to the threaded plate are deformable.

More force is needed to move the striker pin - 2 - when the bolts - 3 - are loose.

The adjustment that follows is only for the right door. Adjustment of the left door is performed accordingly.

When closing, door must lock completely without further applied force and must have no play.

By adjusting the striker pin, door must not be pushed upward or downward.

The striker pin can be used to adjust:

If the rear door setting is not aligned with the side panel.

Perform the following:

- Loosen the bolts - 2 - on the C-pillar and loosen the striker pin - 1 -.






- Adjust door with lock bracket - 1 - so that the rear door aligns with side panel when closed (wind noise).

- Tighten the bolts - 2 - on the striker pin - 1 -.

Screw - 2 - tightening specification: 20 Nm.
