Removing






Perform the following:

- Removing headliner..

- Remove the front glass panel. Refer to => [ Glass Panel ] Glass Panel.

- Remove the rear glass panel. Refer to => [ Rear Glass Panel ] Rear Glass Panel.

- Remove the sun shade. Refer to => [ Sun Shade ] Sun Shade.

- Remove the frame. Refer to => [ Assembly Frame ] Assembly Frame.

- Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear part.

- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Disconnect the adhesive connection - 5 - with a knife.

- Remove the entire rear part - 1 - with the carriers - 4 - in the - direction of the arrow - from the assembly frame - 3 -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Remove any remaining adhesive with adhesive remover (VAS 6349).

- Thoroughly clean the adhesive surfaces on the rear part - 1 - and the assembly frame - 3 - with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Insert a butyl sealing cord (AKD 497 010 04 R10) 3.5 mm into the adhesive channel - 5 - on the rear part - 1 -.

- Slide the rear part - 1 - with the carriers - 4 - onto the assembly frame - 3 -.

- Tighten the bolts - 2 -, tightening specification: 2 Nm.






• Prior to installation, check the assembly frame for leaks.

- Seal the water drain tube - 3 -.

- Fill the marked area - 4 - between the rear part - 2 - and the assembly frame - 5 - with water.

- Wait at least 5 minutes and check for leaks.

- Any leaks must be sealed with the butyl sealing cord (AKD 497 010 04 R10).

- Install the sun shade. Refer to => [ Sun Shade ] Sun Shade.

- Install the sun shade motor. Refer to => [ Sun Shade Motor ] Sun Shade Motor.

- Install the frame.

- After completion of all work steps, all panorama sunroof drives must be adapted. Refer to => [ Panorama Sunroof Adaptation ] Panorama Sunroof Adaptation.
