Rear Seat Backrests

• Removal and installation are described for the 2/3 unit of the rear seat backrest. Removal and installation for the 1/3 unit are performed in the same manner.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition.

- Remove the rear seats. Refer to => [ Rear Seats ] Rear Seats.

- Remove the bench seats. Refer to => [ Bench Seats ] Bench Seats.

- Remove the outer rear seat trims. Refer to => [ Outer Trims of the Rear Seats ] Outer Trims of the Rear Seats.

- Remove the inner rear seat trims. Refer to => [ Inner Trims of the Rear Seats ] Inner Trims of the Rear Seats.

- Remove the rear center belt anchor. Refer to => [ Rear Center Belt Anchor ] Rear Center Belt Anchor.

- In vehicles equipped with backrest heating, disconnect the backrest heating harness connector.

- Remove the shaft - 1 - by opening the tab - 2 - pushing the shaft on the other side with a screwdriver - arrow -.






- Remove the rear seat backrest bolts - 1, 2, 3 - on the outside of the rear seat (36 Nm).






- Remove the bolt on the inside of the rear seat - 4 - (50 Nm) and remove the rear center belt latch - 2 -.






- Remove the rear seat backrest bolts - 1 and 3 - (36 Nm).

- Detach the lower release cable on the seat frame and remove the rear seat backrest.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
