Coolant Pump
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Spanner Wrench (3212)
Removing
- Loosen the left front coolant pipes and move them to the side. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes ] Coolant Pipes. The coolant hoses can remain connected.
- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.
- Remove the coolant pump pulley bolts, use the spanner wrench (3212) to counter hold the pulley.
- Remove the pulley.
• Place a cloth underneath to catch any coolant leaking out.
- Remove the hose - A - and the bolts - arrows -. Remove the coolant pump.
Installing
• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pump, Thermostat and Connecting Piece Overview ] Coolant Pump, Thermostat and Connecting Piece Overview.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:
- Clean the sealing surfaces; they must be free of oil and grease.
- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.
- Install the left front coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes ] Coolant Pipes.
- Fill the high temperature coolant circuit. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling, High Temperature Coolant Circuit ] Draining and Filling, High Temperature Coolant Circuit.
