Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks

- Start the engine and let it run at idle.

- Seal off the tailpipes with cloths for the duration of the leak test.

- Check for leaks by listening at the connection areas of the cylinder head/exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold/front exhaust pipe, etc.

- Repair any detected leaks.
