Warning Lamp Symbols, Instrument Cluster

Applicability and layout of instrument cluster warning and indicator lamps are market and engine dependent.

Different instrument clusters are used, depending on vehicle equipment. Therefore, the arrangement of the control lamps may deviate from the illustration.






1 - Seat Belt Warning

Fasten seat belts!

2 - Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP)

Lit up: ESP damaged or manually switched off.

Blinking: ESP regulating.

3 - Tire Pressure Monitoring Display

Check tire pressure.

4 - ESP OFF

Electronic stabilization program OFF.

5 - Left Turn Signal (Turn Signal System)

6 - Electro-Mechanical Power Steering (EPS - Electronic Power Steering)

7 - Hill Climb Assist

8 - ACC Braking Command

9 - Right Turn Signal (Turn Signal System)

10 - Generator Charge Indicator Lamp

11 - Oil Pressure Indicator Lamp

12 - Cruise Control System

13 - Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake/Auto Hold

Red parking brake.

Green auto hold.

14 - Brake System Indicator Lamp

Brake fluid lever too low or

Brake system malfunction.

15 - Airbag Or Seat Belt Tensioning System

Airbag or seat belt tensioning system faulty or

Passenger airbags switched off.

16 - Electro-Mechanical Power Steering (EPS - Electronic Power Steering)

17 - Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

Fault in the anti-lock braking system

18 - Depending On The Vehicle Equipment Level: Preglow System Or EPC (Electronic Power Control)

Pre-glow system (diesel vehicles only).

EPC (Electronic Power Control): fault in the gasoline engine.

19 - Engine Malfunction (On Board Diagnostic)

20 - High Beams Switched On

Depending on equipment, some warning and indicator lights are also shown in the instrument cluster display. Malfunctions are sorted according to priority and are shown in the display with red or yellow symbols and additional information.
