Electronic Throttle Control Module: Service and Repair






Control Valve Control Unit J808

Removing

- Remove the rear engine cover - 2 - upward.






- Loosen the fuel pipe bolts - arrows -. The fuel lines remain connected.






- Disconnect the connector - 3 - from the control valve control unit.






- Remove the bolts - 5 and 6 -.

- Remove the adapter - 1 - with the adapter - 2 - and the control valve control unit - 4 -.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

Replace the O-rings.

- Install the adapter - 1 - with the adapter - 2 - and the control valve control unit - 4 - with new O-rings.






- Tighten the bolts - 5 and 6 - hand tight.

- First, tighten the bolts - 6 - to specification.

Tightening specification: 10 Nm

- Then, tighten the bolts - 5 - to the same specification.

- Connect the connector - 3 -.

- Tighten the fuel pipe bolts - arrows -.






- Adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) if the control valve control unit was replaced. Refer to "Guided Functions" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.
