Variable Induction Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing

- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to => [ Engine Compartment Cover ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the rear engine cover - 2 - upward.






- Remove the hose - 1 -, the clamps - arrows - and the intake air duct.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove throttle valve control module with the adapter.

The engine could be destroyed.

• Cover the intake passages with a clean cloth to prevent small particles from getting into the supercharger.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

• Replace the O-rings.

- Install the adapter - 2 - and new O-rings into the supercharger - 1 - - arrows -.






- Install the throttle valve control module - item 3 - to the adapter - arrows -.

• Tightening specification: 10 Nm.

- Adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) if the throttle valve control module was replaced. Refer to "Guided Functions" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.
