Location, Cylinder Bank 1 (Right Side):





1. Oxygen sensor after three way catalytic converter with heater for oxygen sensor 1 after catalytic converter

2. Heated oxygen sensor with oxygen sensor heater


• Tightening specification: 55 Nm

Location, Cylinder Bank 2 (Left Side):





1. Heated oxygen sensor 2 with oxygen sensor 2 heater

2. Oxygen sensor 2 after catalytic converter with heater for oxygen sensor 2 after catalytic converter


• Tightening specification: 55 Nm

• Lubricate new oxygen sensors with an assembly paste. The paste must not get onto the slits in the sensor body.

• On a used oxygen sensor, only lubricate the threads with hot bolt paste. The paste must not get into the slits in the sensor body. For the correct hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog.

• The oxygen sensor wire must always be attached at the same location when installing. This prevents the wire from touching the exhaust pipe.
