Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor

Removing

- Remove the supercharger. Refer to => [ Supercharger ] Supercharger.

- Remove the affected lower intake manifold. Refer to => [ Lower Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] Lower Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 - for the knock sensor 1 from the bracket.






- Disconnect the connector - 2 - (gray) for the knock sensor 2 from the bracket.






- Remove the bolt - 1 - for the knock sensor 1 and the bolt - 2 - for the knock sensor 2 and remove the sensors.






Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ignition Component Overview ] Service and Repair.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

- Install the left or right lower intake manifold. Refer to => [ Lower Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] Lower Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail.

- Install the supercharger. Refer to => [ Supercharger ] Supercharger.
