Bonded Rubber Bushings, Rear

Removing the bonded rubber bushing on the rear final drive is the same for both the right and left sides.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Sleeve (30-14)

• Assembly Tool (T10435)

• Assembly Tool (T10254)

• Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump (VAS 6179)

• Hydraulic Press (VAS 6178)

Removing






- Set the pneumatic/hydraulic foot pump (VAS 6179) to the smallest setting.

- Remove the bonded rubber bushing.

Installing






- Position the bonded rubber bushing to he final drive in its installed position.

• The small hole and the large recesses on the bushing - arrows - must be horizontal to the final drive. The small hole faces outward.

- Install the bonded rubber bushing.
