Differential Lock Motor (V304)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Disconnect both connectors from the differential lock motor.

- Remove the four bolts and the differential lock motor - A - with the bracket for the connector - B -.






Installing

- Replace the O-ring - arrow - on the differential lock motor.






• A replacement differential lock motor is supplied with the O-ring installed.

• The O-ring is secured by a protective sleeve.

• Remove the protective sleeve before installing the differential lock motor.

- Install the differential lock motor - A - and the bracket for the connector - B - to the rear final drive with four bolts.






- Connect the two connectors to the differential lock motor.

- Check the rear final drive gear oil level. Refer to => [ Rear Final Drive Gear Oil Level, Checking ] Rear Final Drive Gear Oil Level, Checking.
