The information electronics control module 1 is installed in the glove compartment.

The following functions are integrated in the information electronics control module 1:

• Telephone (GSM).

• Navigation (GPS).

• Gyrocompass.

• Hard disk as storage medium.

• DVD/CD-ROM drive.

• 2 SD card reader (flash card).

• SIM card reader.

• External audio source connection (socket is outside the information electronics control module).

• TMC traffic information.

• Connection management for Bluetooth, USB and Ethernet.

• Video processes and display of DVD and TV.
