Perform the following:

- Open the hood.

- Remove the release cable coupling - 7 - from the lock carrier - arrows a -.

- Open the cap - 5 - of the release cable coupling - arrow b -.

- Tilt the release cable - 3 - 90° - arrow c - and remove from the release cable coupling - 7 - in the - direction of arrow d -.

• Make sure the grommet - 4 - is connected correctly when installing the release cable - 3 -.

• When securing the release cable - 3 -, pay attention to the clip - 2 -.

• Before closing the hood, test the function of the control lever and release cable.
