Door Handle with the Access/Start Authorization Control Module

• Removing and installing the right door handle is described here. Removing and installing the left door handle is identical.

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder or the cap.

- Pull the door handle - 1 - slightly to the rear - arrow a - out of the mount of the mounting bracket - 3 -.

- Move the door handle in the - direction of arrow b -.

If the door handle is at a right angle to the door, the harness connector of the access/start authorization control module - 2 - is in a "park position".

- Remove the door handle at a right angle - arrow c - from the mounting bracket - 3 -. The access/start authorization control module harness connector - 2 - disconnects.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Insert the door handle - 1 - at a right angle - arrow a - into the mounting bracket - 3 -. The access/start authorization control module harness connector - 2 - engages.

- Install the door handle - 1 - into the door - arrow b -.

- Push the door handle toward the front - arrow c - into the mount in the mounting bracket - 3 -.

Install the lock cylinder or cap.

• Then, always perform a function test with the door open. Refer to => [ Function Test, Performing ] Function Test, Performing.
