Backrest Release Cable

• Removal and installation are identical for the right and left.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition.

- Remove the bench seats. Refer to => [ Bench Seats ] Bench Seats.

- Remove the rear seats. Refer to => [ Rear Seats ] Rear Seats.

- Remove the outer rear seat trims. Refer to => [ Outer Trims of the Rear Seats ] Outer Trims of the Rear Seats.

- Remove the backrest release control module (J930). Refer to => [ Seatback Release Motors ] Seatback Release Motors.

- Open the backrest release control module (J930) and detach the release cable.

- Detach the release cable eyelet - 1 - from the bolt on the release lever.






- Unclip the release cable - 2 - at the rear seat backrest - arrows -.

- Thread the release cable out of the seat frame.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

• It must be ensured that the release cable is completely engaged in the seat frame.
