Coolant Hose Connection Diagram
The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Reduce pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening.
• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that are specific to that model. Refer to the Parts Catalog.
• The arrows on the coolant pipes and ends of the coolant hoses must align.
1 Coolant Expansion Tank
2 Engine Coolant Circulation Pump 2 (V178)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Engine Coolant Circulation Pump 2 V178 ] Service and Repair.
3 ATF Pre-Heater Shut-Off Valve
• Is activated with the cooling oil valve.
4 ATF Pre-Heater
5 Coolant Shut-Off Valve (N82)
• Connecting the auxiliary heater into the coolant circuit.
6 Heater Core
• Connecting the auxiliary heater into the coolant circuit.
• Change the coolant after replacing.
7 Engine Oil Cooler
8 Cylinder Block
9 Coolant Pump
• Is activated with the coolant regulation valve.
10 Radiator
• With the transmission fluid cooler and Air Conditioning (A/C) condenser.
• Change the coolant after replacing.
11 Coolant Thermostat
• Checking, removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Thermostat ] Coolant Thermostat.
12 Cylinder Head
13 Shut-Off Valve for the Cylinder Block
• Is activated by the cylinder block coolant valve.
