Horn: Service and Repair

Horns (H2)/(H7)

• The High Tone Horn (H2) and Low Tone Horn (H7) are activated in parallel by the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).

• Removing and installing both horns is identical.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Remove the front bumper cover.

- Remove the front air guide for the charge air cooler.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove the screw - 2 - and the horn together with the bracket.

Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- Tighten the screw - 2 - to 20 Nm.
