Clutch Actuator






Clutch Actuator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Removing

- Remove the left front wheel.

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner.

- Remove the coolant hose bracket bolts - arrows - and set the coolant hoses aside.






- Clamp off the return hose using hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. (3094) - arrow -.






- Pry out the clips - arrows - with a screwdriver and disconnect the lines - A and B - from the actuator. Seal the lines with suitable plugs.

Immediately wipe off any brake fluid that has leaked out.

- Disconnect the harness connector from the actuator.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the actuator.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:

Replace the O-rings for the hose/line assembly.

- Install the actuator and tighten the bolts - arrows -.






Tightening specification, see => [ (Item 7) Bolt ] Clutch Mechanism Overview.

- Insert the hose/line assemblies - A and B - all the way into the actuator and secure them with the clips - arrows -.






- Bleed the clutch mechanism. Refer to => [ Clutch Hydraulic System, Bleeding ] Clutch Hydraulic System, Bleeding.
